Not sure how combat works.  If I have a level 2 infantry and attack a level one jeep.  Who wins?  Do they destroy each other?  What exactly do attack and armor do?  Do you divide an enemy attack by your armor, and subtract if from your attack to see if you die?  What is the minimum power/number of jets does it take to kill a jeep?  An infantry?  I attacked a construction truck with power 3 jets and killed it.  I attacked one with a missile and it didn't kill it (It was in the same space as an airbase, landbase, and turret. Did that matter?).  Does air units get their power divided up between all units/bases in a square?  If I attack a turret in the same space as an airbase, does my jet also damage his airbase and jets also?  Will any "damage" get divided up?

Any help would be appreciated to help clear up the combat system
This is certainly something I'll like to know as well.

Are attacks random at all? or is it always fixed? I.E. A level 1 tank will always, 100%, kill off a level 3 infantary, or is it more of 90% with a 10% possible of oopsyougotfrakkedover? (Similar to dice rules in DnD-style games) I hope you get the gist.

Take a look at the power levels on the "Game Objects" page in the Help section.  This should give you a good idea of how many units it will take to destroy another type of unit.

Do they destroy each other?

Someone always survives a battle.  Every fight is basically a fight to the death.

Do you divide an enemy attack by your armor

Armor decreases the attack power of the other unit, but it's much smaller than a straight divide.

(It was in the same space as an airbase, landbase, and turret. Did that matter?).

The turret would definitely weaken your missile before it impacted the objects within the sector.  (It would also weaken then missile to a lesser extent as it was approaching the sector.)

Does air units get their power divided up between all units/bases in a square?

Units/turrets will battle, and then any strength left (if the unit survived) will be done to the bases.

There's a random factor in every attack.  It's enough to sometimes tip the balance, but it will never lead to anything drastic (like an infantry of strength 1 taking out a tank of strength 9).

Ok here's where every thing falls apart for me.

Bases start with 1000 health.  Are unit's attack = health?  So when and unit has 50 attack and survives an attack at a lower level its health/attack is lowered say 25?

So baring randomizing affect a missile of (500 i think) gets hit a couple times on its way to where is going it might hit with say 250?

Do turrets have a range or do planes have to fly right over them to get attacked by turrets?

The exact amount don't matter so much to me as the concepts involved do.

Thanks,

Dman

Yes.

Yes (except missiles have a strength of 300).

They will also attack air units flying over adjacent sectors, though at a reduced strength.
