I have just logged on today to find that Sicilia has a Land Base at his Capital of Corleone again, even though I destroyed it 2 or 3 days ago.
He does not have any Construction Trucks to build one, so how did it get built?

Please remove it again.....

A land base can always be built on a capital.  (If you recall, it's how all countries get started.)

If you want to stop him from building there, you'll need to take his capital!
Awww, is little old sicilia giving you issues?
He won't roll over and die, goddamn it.
yeech.  that's a lot of orange tanks, and a solid beachhead Camelia's developed.  Not a lot of infrastructure for Sicilia, either, though that may be due to Camelia applying some heavy air superiority.  It's showing.  I'm going to have to adjust my tactics; when I went north into The Republic of Ro, I just sent troops straight at the bases to capture them, and then built up an army from within his territory to spread out.  A scorched earth policy like Camelia's seems much more efficient, especially since Sicilia has no choice but to rebuild his base every turn.

Don't get to excited over air superiority.  It costs an average of probably twice the value of a unit to destroy it with missiles and/or jets.  I found this out last night after spending an outrageous sum only to see my enemy still there.
Sure, its not cost effective vs. a similar sized country, but when you have a big one like Camelia hammering a smaller country like Sicilia, missile and air strikes seem to do the trick, at least when it comes to stemming the number of enemy units that can be pumped out.
maybe so, but it sure is intimidating when a wall of tanks comes rolling over you...

Methinks it's the other way around, unless he built those turrets overnight, and took over a week to move forward from his land bases.

?

Tod built those defensive turrets a while ago, and has had that wall of tanks sitting there for quite some time.  They moved west last night, much to the dismay of 10% of Prussia's territory.
hahaha Tod has had the tanks staged for quite some time. Prussia never put any defenses up, and got thoroughly rolled this morning at update. and it looks like Prussia put a lot of cash into fielding some tanks, but i doubt it'll be but a speed bump.

That does look bad...  except they are all minimal tanks

check about 668,236  and see what is sitting at my door...  I don't think Johnny rolled without full strength troops...  He has another line of optioned out jeeps on my south eastern border...  I know they don't look as formidable as 2814, but full strength infantry can stop those tanks at about the same cost.

minimal tanks with, until a couple hours ago, no resistance in the way. Prussia just sank a lot of money into getting tanks out to act as a delaying measure, but tod took maybe 1000 squares from prussia with next to no resistance.
