Is there any way to split merged units, or are they stuck together for good?
Yes. WTB this feature. That'd be helpful when traveling over water. Could also be a neat tactical surprise to split one's units like a shotgun at the last minute to bypass an enemy line or envelop an opponent in a pincer maneuver.

Snap, thats a crazy idea... This can become useful on level that i have not thought of yet. Adds a whole level strategy in the niche of surprise combat. two thumbs up for this idea!

We've talked about this before, maybe a month ago or so. I think Johnny is adding it to his list of to-do's.
