1) Please let me know if the server and connection seem faster or slower to you.

2) I was thinking that I may move the Daily Cycle one hour later, from 5am Eastern (2am Pacific) to 6am Eastern (3am Pacific). Any feedback one way or the other?
let me put it this way, it doesn't seem slow except for certain image downloads.

The game images are on a different domain (gt.tmscdn.com). So, either your PC is still looking at the old IP address for that host, or maybe the DNS changes haven't reached you yet.

You can try closing your browser and typing 'ipconfig /flushdns' in a command prompt to force your PC to recheck the DNS entries. That may clear it up for you.
1.) I have had no issues, yet. I may be imagining it, but the map seems to be loading slightly faster and I am pretty sure the attacks are showing up quicker when the tab is selected on the main map.

I have not yet noticed any facets of the game responding slower than normal.

2.)I don't think this is necessary...It seemed the site was down for a significantly shorter period  of time than last Friday's attempt at migration...or I am just more inebriated than usual. If some are requesting an extra hour though, I don't see why not.

Hopefully this new server processes better than the last one did...

Anyway, We all appreciate your hard work and genuine interest in our experience and opinions. Thank Johnny.

1) You may not be imagining it. I expect the server's Internet connection will be faster and more consistent now.

2) Yes, the migration was definitely quicker. I did more ahead of time, and I had less to migrate. (I'm breaking sites up and handling them differently this time.)

But, I was actually referring to a permanent change in the Daily Cycle start time, perhaps starting next weekend. I wanted to hear some feedback first, though, before I made that change.
As an easterner who likes to get a few moves done in the AM
before the day starts I would vote it doesnt change
as long as its  not a big deal
It's noticeably faster on my ancient computer. Thanks!!

I like the early daily cycle time so I can play before work. But I can deal with whatever time you decide is best.

it doesn't bother me much one way or another.  after the last time that process times were discussed, i had a thought.

what if the cycles aren't on a 24 hour clock?  what if they are on a 23 or 25 hour clock?  that way over time  it lessens the advantage some of the night owls have.

that's an interesting thought.

Simple and clever. I like it.

I like this idea also!
Unless it is a random 23-25 hour cycle, it will not limit me, err, the night owls. If one does not know precisely when it will occur, one would place earlier to ensure movement.

The point, is that in 12 days the daychange will happen around noon instead of midnight and in another 12 vice versa.
I think most of the night owls are against it....we might just start changing our sleep cycles to compensate.

I would support trying this on specific maps in the form of a map setting instead of changing it for all of them.

I like this idea given some of us are on the same time due to work schedules (8-5) and would allow us to either be on a little later or before work.  This would mean you would have to be aware of the time to make sure you get your attacks in on time.  A random choice of 23/25 hour differential could push us to new extremes and be more fun, especially if someone missed their attacks for the day.  It could move the times WAY around the clock, or keep them fairly close...no one would know.
I like the whole 25 hour cycles;

Day One: Midnight Cycle
Day Two: 1am Cycle
Day three: 2am Cycle
Day four: 3am Cycle
Day five: 4am Cycle
etc.

This completely eliminates all time advantages for players. It doesn't hurt anyone at all because everyone gets one extra hour to log on and do everything necessary. Night owls will now be balanced with 8am-5pm working people. The only advantage left is people who have all the time in the world; but that's an nonnegotiable advantage.
