Subject: FEATURE REQUEST: Pin-Type Toggling (Display Menu)last

Johnny,

There remains an ongoing debate on the best uses of the generic pins we currently have available.  I know you've shot down the idea of multicolors, but what about categorizing their general uses so that they can be be toggled through the Display menu?  You could use the same color scheme but perhaps change the shape of the pins for each type.  That way you can see them all, or one specific type according to your immediate needs simply by toggling the display menu.

From what I can tell, pin uses fall into 2 major categories (that's not too bad huh?):

1) Air Strike Path Management
    - Includes turrets, land, and sea units...anything that affects the success of costly air strikes

2) Strategic Element References
    - Includes high-priority targets, land-feature references, and miscellaneous notes.

Really, I'd like to see many more uniquely identifiable pins so that a glance at the map will tell you whats going on, but I'm thinking breaking these up into even these two categories would help missile lobbing countries manage their attacks without over-saturating the strategic view of ground fighters or strategic planners.
No one else likes this idea?

I thought about it again just now because i have lots of pins in Kota and would like to be able to toggle them off without having to delete them.
So far the only feature I seriously want to see implemented is the ability to toggle allies' pins on and off. especially when my pins and theirs overlap.

colors, codes, etc would be cool though.
