Currently in GT you can scroll over any nation's territory and see exactly what type of units they have. This is somewhat unrealistic. The radar system seems like a good tool but somewhat useless since this can be done. However, that, alongside the exaggerated transparency of all nations, led me to consider the establishment of a fog of war. In real war you can't see where every single enemy is positioned, and as such there should be a limit as to how much you can see of the enemy's. I would recommend having a distance limit set (example: Being able to see units of non-allied people only up to 30 units from your borders) or something like that. To make up for this, one could create a recon plane unit which would work like a radar. You could call in a recon plane to any part of the map within its flight limit and order a reconnaissance mission that would show all the units within the recon area and continue showing any movement in the area for, say, 3 days until the recon plane is "shot down" or something.
