I thought about making your Capital city moveable might be nice, but limited to once per nation per map, it has to be to an already established base on land occupied by you though (not any random grey square)

I know some people will oppose this idea, but it might stop people abandoning the game so fast

people should think about where they are placing their capitol so that it isn't easily taken. moving the capitol has already been suggested, and johnny said "no."

also: what is a "capital city" if it isn't in all caps?
Some maps are random placement now, so people don`t exactly get a  choice of placement
I think this could be an excellent idea if balanced properly. Losing your capital, or being close to it, should have some punishment otherwise the capitals lose their strategic significance.

I would suggest that this option be enabled somehow, but greatly restricted.

Option #1) You may create a capital on a cell using a construction truck where you have a land base and an air base, but only if you have had no capital for at least 7-14 days.

Option #2) As long as you control any city you get your full income. Starting capitals are cities, but you may also build a city on a land cell for $20,000 using a construction truck.
I would like the option of having a few more 'strategic points' in the game.  For example, maybe add some multi-sector cities that provide an income bonus.  If your capital is taken, then you can pay something to have one of these cities become your new capital, but only once per game.

I'd also like to see something like a 'guerrilla bonus'.  Maybe if you capital is taken, then your units get an additional bonus to attack and defense ("honor of the land" and all that).

Admittedly, by the time your capital is taken, then your pretty much doomed anyway.  Most capitals are not that close to borders and are not that vulnerable.
