I like the idea of not having a placement restriction, but I think in the future it might be better to set a 50 sector or so limit on how close you can place to another nation.

I mean, it's day 2 and two countries have already lost their Capitols.

to each other.....
such is life.  if you have an unruly neighbor you should have an unruly defense in his direction.

As true as that may be, this is a game, and it make the game fickle.  I mean a relatively new player set their Capitol within about 20 sectors of my own, I honestly feel bad that the game will be over for him in a day or two.

With the game mechanics you have to match force for force which, for the most part, when you're coming to blows after the first cycle means going back and forth forever until you're both destroyed by someone else.
hi ... I just started ... I have no idea what to do ... where is the game tutorial to show me what to do?
go to sandbox first to learn how to work things alright ^^
I made a country at the sandbox too ... I made stuff and I did attacks on areas around my country ... I guess that is what I am supposed to do and I come back tomorrow to see the results ... a video tutorial would be nice ... or game instructions but I can't find any ... I guess I did all I could do ... I'll come back tomorrow and see if I earned money over night or something.

Here is the link to the help section. It should at least give you the basics. I would play around in the sandbox for at least a week before joining a live map. For a game that only executes once a day, things can move pretty quick.

I figured out what to do ... the help section doesn't say to do it though ... it says to capture land but doesn't say how to do it ... I figured out ... by attacking land in range, I capture it if there is no one else attacking it ... that was easy enough to figure out, but the help section doesn't say that ... the help section should say that, but oh well ... I know what to do anyway
