After browsing through the new maps I can safely say that Cerato is WAY to big...

I would rather not change size rather than have that map...
of course...  if we are keeping all of them...
Cerato wouldn`t load for me..., tho I like the land areas better on that one

Yes, the new game supports multiple worlds.  People can just join the world(s) they want to play.

If it turns out people just aren't interested in the huge world, I can always remove it.

Can you please post or send me a note and let what happened when you tried to explore the map?  Also, can you let me know how much memory your PC has and what kind of processor you have (both of which are listed in Control Panel -> System, if you're using Windows)?

I think I'll also have to set the start delay to be longer on that one.  Probably two weeks, or maybe even a month.
On Cerato, I have been playing and when you use the arrows to pan up/down (not every time), I jump way into an ocean to my north...

You're in a very ellipsisy mood today. haha

I'll take a look at the code later and see if I can figure out why you're making this up.
when I do it in the northwest, it works fine.  It is only psychotic in the south east...
Ditch Cerato, it is too big....but I like the landmass outlay

You're right!  I found the glitch and corrected it.

Thanks!

You can always not play that map if you feel it's too large, of course.

The only worry I have is that players might be too split up amongst worlds with too many options.

I think that a lot of people may find that the draw to this game, the relatively small amount of time required to play, may be infringed by trying to play all the maps.
If you could have have landmasses similar to the Cerato universe, in the smaller version, people would like it more
2 Gig RAM and 2,4 Ghz Processor, and the Cerato map does not show

I am also running 2x 7900GS grafix in SLi mode

IE, I assume?  I just tried viewing the huge map image in IE and it's not showing.

I'll see what I can do.

It looks like IE won't display GIFs that large.  I can switch to PNG, but manipulating them seemed to be slower.

I'm going to need to figure out how I want to handle this.  I may not have the large map up for the conversion, if I can't implement a fix by then.
where is this Cerato map?

It was only up for yesterday to my knowledge. Or Johnny really doesn't like you.

That is because he is moving the stuff to that server...
Yes, I`m using Internet Exploder 8, as this game won`t work for me on Firefox for some odd reason....

Just FYI, I redid a bunch of the map code last night.  Instead of one massive GIF, the game now uses a handful of large ones (depending on the map size) to display the world view.  The huge world now works in IE.

As an added benefit, it'll also speed up functions like vacating sectors.

I found a bug in the Join script.  It wasn't updated correctly for the new map format.

It's fixed now, in case anyone tried to join and just saw a black map!
Should I be able to see countries and spawn points on Cerato? I do on the other two but not on the new one, and because of this I cannot create a country.

Cerato is massive, so it's a little harder to find them.  (Using the "Explore Map" feature may be easier.)

There are basically four spawn points spread out across the top and four spread out across the bottom.
I personally think Cerato is just fine, It is more realistic in its size
