Global Triumph

There are some really cool, epic battles going on right now.  Some truly historic level carnage being waged by some players who, win or lose, will deserve recognition in the days to come.  I would really love to see a feature where, with the consent of the developer, players could place a monument to commemorate the sacrifice of a great battle, like the one taking place now at the former capital of Balarana between Hanibel and Mike McGraw and the battle being waged for Grenadia.  Obviously in the future, these maps may go on for months at a time, and it will be cool to be able to travel the map and see old battles and also see how geography plays into the wars of the future, much like Afghanistan's status as the battlefield of the superpowers for the last 2500 years.

I would envision an obelisk style permanent icon on the map with a display feature so that as a player, you could turn on to select the display of all monuments and take a look at history across the map.  Players might be able to write their own version of events at the battlefield that might pop up when you click the icon.
