I'm curious, does anyone here use IE to play the game?

If so, have you ever tried playing it in Firefox 3.5?  I jump to IE to verify things are working correctly and I'm always shocked by how much slower it is.  The JavaScript engine in Firefox 3.5 (and 3, to a lesser extent) is so fantastically fast.

Google Chrome is also ridiculously fast, though I can't stand the way it looks.

I only play it on FF.

I've found the same slowness issue with IE - I'm playing on FF the whole time, and I've never had any issues.

(Except occasionally some click will cause my browser to move my map, even when I'm not holding down the mouse button - messes up moves and attacks and such.  But it's not really an issue, and not something you can fix on your end anyway.)

I think it had to do with the target/marker icons for moves and attacks, but I coded in a fix for that after you posted this.  Have you noticed the problem recently?

I have played on FF, IE8, and Chrome. I have played on XP and linux.

FF & Chrome have worked flawlessly. IE8 was a little sluggish.

Chrome on Xp is surprisingly fast
