Can we set up something so we can send money to players. Say there's a player that would like for someone to nuke. As of now, I have no way to compensate someone for that.
i like the idea behind this. but i think there should be a cap for the amount of cash you can send, and should only be able to send to the same person every five or ten days.

No. I should be able to pay someone every day to nuke you until I'm satisfied that there is no longer a reason for you to play.

this is why there should be limits. why don't you build an armada and send it to my continent? i fail to understand how and why you take such issue with me, since you fail to accurately depict the issues you want to represent so bad.
and instead of even trying to work it out, you make public complaints that the guy on the other side of the world is annoying.
nuking my nation won't keep me from playing, fyi. you're stuck with me. and as long as you're allowed to express your opinion, i shall express mine.

Having sailed for two months to reach my current destination, I think it would probably take about five months to get from that position today to your position, which I would gladly do, but I don't think this map will be around in five months.
I take issue with you because you behave like a 15 year old child. You're arrogant - and for no good reason, because despite the fact that you have not a clue regarding the subject matter you're blathering about (the Great Wall of China keeping the Mongols out of China, Alexander the great was a better conqueror than Ghengis Khan, etc. blah blah), you treat others as if they are stupid. Its like a good friend of mine says:
"The idiot knows everything - and because he knows you know nothing, you're not allowed inside his make-believe Fortress of Omnipotence..."
There are a lot of things I don't know, but I'm smart enough to know what I don't know. What I do know, however, is history, government, civics issues and government purchasing. Having seen your posts regarding government and history, I can state confidently that you don't know squat about either.
There's no shame in not knowing everything. In fact, none of us can know it all. I know zilch about anything related to science. Math and I haven't had a relationship outside of my Excel spreadsheet in years. I use math to determine how much a vendor owes me. But when I meet someone like you, who attempts to act contrary for the sake of trying to make people think that you know what the hell you're talking about, when frankly, a quick Google search would tell you that you are, in fact wrong, it makes me laugh.
You make a whole lot more friends by asking questions and being willing to listen than marching around running your mouth about shit that you have no concept of, and in the meantime, treating people as if they are stupid.
That's my issue with you. Stop being a mouthy little dick and start treating people on the forum with some respect or go die in a fire somewhere by yourself. Either way makes no difference to me.

i'm arrogant for a good reason. the internet provides me with a level of anonymity that i am comfortable with and take advantage of.
the great wall of china comment was a joke, in case you missed it. the wall is not a complete barrier, as the chinese used mountains to provide natural barriers where they were unwilling to erect a wall, and the thing took a few hundred years over several dynasties to build.
alexander the great was a great general per se, but he had a lot of intelligent people in his staff that did what needed to be done to further their careers and propel him into history.
khan was the first to use biological warfare and his empire stretched from the pacific to the mediterranean. i know this, but my comments about his empire have been in jest, much as you comment about wanting to see a new youtube video showing off the expansion of your nation was a lot of chest thumping, when qike was more interested in seeing the bloom of nations on the NE continent.
i have a fond love of history, science and math, and can readily admit what i don't know. yet this is a new forum for me and i'm carving out my niche. i am outspoken, and as you've cleverly put it: arrogant. i don't presume that you know nothing. quite the contrary, i'm glad to see someone that has his wits about him, mostly. what amuses me greatly though, is that i can be a bit of a troll, and watching people succumb to their emotions and start calling names over something as simple as the handling of economics in a game that has nothing to do with that realm amused me.
and seeing a 40 year old man tell someone to "die in a fire" is probably the capstone to this whole affair. if i could meet you in real life, i'd buy you a beer.

I don't have time to catch up on all the board posts, but I want to address this post really quickly.
While transferring money was in my original plans, I then realized that it would lead to users constantly trying to make extra accounts to transfer all their funds to their one primary country. So, I'd say it's a definite no go.

It may be possible to require the countries in question be a minimum size, thus stopping the creation of multiple accounts. They would have to play to make it work.
I hope you don't mind me using that. It makes me giggle. :P
Its not mine, and I actually asked the exact same question of the guy about 10 minutes before I posted it. I friggin' love it. I made me almost pee a little when I read it the first time.

truce?
Truce.
The die in a fire thing is classic. I use it a lot.
